What Was the Motive? Man Throws Brick at Sliding Glass Door of Muang Udon Thani Police Station

Police at Muang Udon Thani Police Station are currently searching for a hot-tempered man who angrily threw a brick at the station's sliding glass door. The suspect acted with intense rage, but his motive and intent remain unknown.

At 20:00 on 30 August 2026 at Muang Udon Thani Police Station, reporters learned that a man threw a brick at the sliding glass door at the station entrance. Visitors to the station recorded the entire incident. After committing the act, the man fled on foot toward Udon Thani Prison, heading in the direction of Udon Pittayanukool School. Police patrol officers pursued the suspect but have not found him, believing he may have taken alleys or side streets to evade capture.

Video footage shows the suspect is a man aged about 30 to 40, wearing an orange T-shirt under a long-sleeved green camouflage jacket, jeans, and sandals. He appeared very angry as he walked to pick up a brick near the police station and threw it at the automatic sliding glass entrance door. The footage shows the man hurling the brick three times with strong anger before fleeing the scene.

Reporters visited the front door of Muang Udon Thani Police Station, the incident site, and found the sliding door had damage from being struck by a hard object, with cracks visible on the door. Traces showed the suspect had taken bricks used to border trees in front of the station and threw them at the station door. No other damage was found. According to investigators, CCTV footage tracking the suspect’s route shows he walked from the Pu-Ya Shrine area to Udon Thani Railway Station, then to Central intersection, followed by the Wun Yai intersection, Nam Phu intersection, and Sriwilai intersection before arriving at the police station to commit the act.
