"Deputy Mark," Acting Superintendent of Huai Khwang Police Station, teamed with Investigation Division 1 to launch the operation "Huai Khwang White: Restoring Confidence," firmly stating that the purpose is not to order closures or harm the area's economic atmosphere but to regulate and promote lawful businesses, decisively cutting off nominee and shadow capital networks.
At 11:00 p.m. on 30 Aug 2026 GMT+7, Pol. Col. Kampol Rattanaprateep, Deputy Commissioner of Metropolitan Police Division 1 and Acting Superintendent of Huai Khwang Police Station, reported progress on social order and security policies in his jurisdiction. Following the inspection and shutdown of the 577 Club by Deputy Minister of Interior Pol. Gen. Polpeer Suwannachawi's administrative forces, Huai Khwang Police reviewed and urgently upgraded proactive operations, ordering the launch of "Huai Khwang White: Restoring 100% Confidence" (Phase 1), conducting sweeping inspections of entertainment venues and karaoke shops in four high-risk zones across the area.
The operation involves Huai Khwang Police working closely with the Investigation Division of Metropolitan Police Division 1 to conduct thorough checks in four key areas: drug urine tests, searches for weapons and illegal items, screening for illegal foreign labor and overstays, and revisiting venues previously permanently closed—such as Muang Tai and Baan Khao Fuean—to prevent illegal reopenings. Officers are instructed to wear body cameras throughout to ensure transparency and accountability.
Pol. Col. Kampol added that upon assuming the Acting Superintendent role at Huai Khwang Police, his objective is not to "order closures" or damage the area's economic environment but to "organize and elevate" Huai Khwang into a safe and transparent zone by clearly distinguishing honest operators from nominee groups engaging in illegal activities.
"We must acknowledge that Huai Khwang is a vibrant economic and tourist hub. Our firm action targets nominee fronts, drugs, illegal foreign workers, and all illegal activities exploiting the system and tarnishing the area's image. For shops or venues genuinely conducting business, we are ready to mentor, advise, and collaborate with the district office and related agencies to help them fully comply with licensing laws, ensuring the economy progresses steadily and with dignity," Pol. Col. Kampol said.
He also outlined upcoming plans: tonight's joint operation with the Investigation Division is the police's first proactive wave to organize the area. Later this week, Huai Khwang Police will collaborate with all relevant agencies—including the Department of Provincial Administration, Immigration Bureau, Huai Khwang District Office, Excise Department, Office of the Narcotics Control Board, and Department of Business Development—to expand investigations into shareholder structures and financial flows, aiming to completely dismantle nominee and shadow capital networks. He affirmed the police station's openness to transparent cooperation and zero tolerance for negligence.
"My ultimate goal is to transform the label "Huai Khwang Land of Shadow Capital" into "Huai Khwang White City with Transparent Economy" where residents feel secure, tourists are safe, and law-abiding businesses can grow sustainably," Pol. Col. Kampol concluded.
Later, at 11:30 p.m. the same day, Pol. Col. Kampol Rattanaprateep, Deputy Commissioner of Metropolitan Police Division 1 and Acting Superintendent of Huai Khwang Police, along with Pol. Lt. Chaiya Weluwanarak, Patrol Supervisor, Huai Khwang Police, Huai Khwang district officials, firefighters, crime suppression, and investigation teams from Huai Khwang Police and the Investigation Division, conducted random inspections of nine target venues to prevent crime, vice, drugs, prostitution, weapons offenses, and fights inside and outside establishments.
The Bang Na venue was found with the owner present but not operating.

At Fake Club, ID cards, passports, and urine tests were properly checked for 27 people—26 men and 1 woman—with no violations found.
At In One Karaoke, proper checks of IDs, passports, and urine tests were conducted on 8 people—4 men and 4 women—with no violations found. At Asgard venue, 25 people were similarly checked—20 men and 5 women—with no violations detected.
