Siam Boonsom, Metropolitan Police Commander, along with deputy commanders, held the 3rd management meeting of MPH for 2026. He delivered policy directives to division commanders, deputy commanders, and station chiefs under MPH. Pol. Lt. Gen. Siam stated that the Royal Thai Police (RTP) policy emphasizes strict enforcement against firearms and conducting checkpoints at appropriate times. Illegal establishments, businesses, and foreign nominee-run operations within jurisdictions must be closely monitored.
If such illegal operations are caught, as in the Huai Khwang Police case, an immediate transfer order for the five key officers at that police station will be issued, along with disciplinary proceedings.
Regarding investigations, complaints about rude language are common. While investigators have heavy workloads, they are requested to maintain polite speech. Traffic police, who often confront the public, must exercise patience and restraint. For major crimes, serious offenses, and social media reports affecting the public, station chiefs must personally intervene to manage and prevent issues from escalating.
Furthermore, police stations are instructed to plan and implement measures to intercept and prevent student fights and youth brawls by gathering intelligence and conducting searches to stop incidents before they occur.
