The Police Cadet Academy clarifies the dismissal of Assistant Professor Police Colonel Pheempot, husband of 'Je Ning,' who is involved in a 3-million-baht extortion case linked to the wife of 'Big Joke.' He still has the right to appeal to the Police Morality Protection Committee within 30 days from the decision.
Reporters stated that on 1 September 2026, the Police Cadet Academy issued a statement regarding the disciplinary action and status of Assistant Professor Police Colonel Pheempot Nomsobphitak. It noted that Pheempot, a former police officer and lecturer (level 4) in the Police Science Faculty at the Police Cadet Academy, committed serious disciplinary violations and was a criminal suspect, significantly damaging the reputation of the Royal Thai Police and the Police Cadet Academy.
The Police Cadet Academy explained the misconduct, legal actions, and status of the former officer in two separate cases as follows.
Regarding the serious disciplinary violations and dismissal: On 20 October 2024, the accused and his wife jointly filed a false police report at Phra Khanong Police Station to frame the victim for theft and trespassing. After investigation, the case was definitively dismissed. On 25 October 2024, the accused further accused the victim on television of having an illicit relationship with him. This behavior constituted a serious police disciplinary offense. After completing the investigation, the accused was dismissed from service on 13 August 2026.
The second case involved the accused and his wife falsely accusing the victim of theft and trespassing. Evidence showed they acted with the motive to extort 3 million baht in exchange for not revealing a private video clip of the victim. This conduct violated moral standards and constituted serious misconduct, leading to the highest disciplinary penalty of dismissal, effective retroactively from 13 August 2026, fully terminating his police service.
The statement also noted that before the disciplinary order, Assistant Professor Police Colonel Pheempot had his wife threaten and pressure the Police Cadet Academy commander to avoid punishment. After disciplinary action, the former officer and close associates attempted to delay and pressure the justice process without regard for the law, including spreading distorted news to pressure the organization and posting threatening messages on Facebook.
The Police Cadet Academy further updated the criminal case involving the former officer and his wife. The false accusations against the victim for theft and trespassing were definitively dismissed, and the victim filed a counter-complaint for jointly filing false reports to harass others. Investigators and prosecutors agreed to proceed with prosecution.
In the defamation case arising from television interviews, the Criminal Court ruled on 26 August 2026 that both defendants were guilty, sentencing each to 1 year and 6 months imprisonment and a 150,000 baht fine, with the prison term suspended for 3 years. The court also ordered publication of the verdict to compensate the victim for damages.
As a result of the dismissal order, the former police officer loses all rights to bonuses, pensions, and any government benefits.
However, he retains the right to appeal to the Police Morality Protection Committee within 30 days, and if dissatisfied with the decision, can file a case with the Supreme Administrative Court within 90 days, following legal procedures.
