Panthep and Kwan Usamanee submitted new evidence in the Tangmo case, revealing that the referenced photo in the case files depicts a different boat. They are preparing to take legal action against "Kratik" for false testimony related to the case.
At 10:00 a.m. on 2 Sep 2026 at Nonthaburi City Police Station, Professor Panthep Puapongphan, representing the Yam Fao Phaendin Foundation, Dr. Thawatchai Kanjanarin, Tangmo’s mother, the famous actress Kwan Usamanee, Kwan’s mother, and Ms. Dada, owner of a photo of people on a boat, brought photographic evidence from Kwan Usamanee and Ms. Dada to Tangmo’s mother. They filed a complaint with investigators at Nonthaburi City Police after discovering that these photos had been used as evidence in court, falsely identified as images of Ms. Kratik to affirm innocence, including signed documents claiming the photos were of Ms. Kratik.
Professor Panthep revealed that Kwan Usamanee’s photos, taken on the same day Tangmo boarded a boat on the Chao Phraya River and included shots with friends, were misused and altered to appear as photos of Kratik taken by Tangmo. The timestamps on the photos were altered, and these images were used to assert the timing when Tangmo went to urinate at the back of the boat.
Professor Panthep added that besides Kwan Usamanee, another victim today is Ms. Dada, the owner of photos of her younger brother boarding a boat on the same day as Tangmo. He took a photo of a boat with about five to six people on board. Upon hearing the news that Tangmo had fallen from the boat, her brother sent the photo to Ms. Dada, who then posted it publicly. However, the photo was used in court without permission. Thus, both victims were brought to testify with Tangmo’s mother to file a complaint against those who misused the photos, which could constitute false evidence.
Kwan Usamanee Waitayanon stated she came today to speak about the facts. She emphasized that all facts must be based on collected evidence. Tangmo was fortunate to have Professor Panthep and his team working on this. Kwan believes this information will help investigators, prosecutors, and the court gain clearer, more systematic data. She trusts the police to uphold justice. Kwan emphasized she did not come to accuse anyone but believes there are good police officers. She also came as a child of a police officer herself.
Meanwhile, Mrs. Panida Sirayuthyothin, Tangmo’s mother, arrived today with Professor Panthep. They spoke for a long time outside Nonthaburi City Police Station before she gave a brief interview to the media, then provided information to police and filed a complaint. Mrs. Panida appeared tense and declined to comment to reporters.
