Today, 2 Sep 2026 GMT+7, at the Royal Thai Police Headquarters, Pol. Lt. Gen. Trairong Phiwpan, Deputy Inspector General and spokesman for the Royal Thai Police, provided an update on the efforts to track Worayut or "Boss" Yuwitaya. He is wanted for the fatal traffic accident of Police Corporal Wichian Klansarert at Thonglor Police Station on 3 Sep 2012, after which he fled abroad. The Foreign Affairs Division of the Royal Thai Police has submitted information to Interpol for issuing a Red Notice. Current checks confirm the Red Notice for Worayut remains active, accessible by member countries' police officers through Interpol’s system to assist in tracking or coordinating if he is located.
Regarding the absence of Worayut's Red Notice on Interpol's public website, Pol. Lt. Gen. Trairong explained that Interpol displays information in two ways: some data is publicly accessible after review, while other data—especially Red Notices like this one—is stored in a closed system accessible only to authorized member police officers. This facilitates coordination and investigation of individuals subject to Red Notices.
Pol. Lt. Gen. Trairong affirmed that the police remain committed to tracking Worayut, continuously coordinating and sharing information with other countries. If it is known which country the suspect may reside in, data is sent to request cooperation in executing the Red Notice. Regardless of where the suspect flees, it is the responsibility of the local police within the Interpol network to act according to agreed-upon cooperative guidelines.
The police spokesman also stated that Worayut still has an outstanding warrant for reckless driving causing death, which will expire on 3 Sep 2027.
