"Lawyer Tum" rode a jet ski onto land to petition the DSI to investigate "Gun Jomphol" and his foundation over issues involving donation funds, body armor, and the establishment of a nominee company. He also submitted evidence claimed to be "secret footage" of the foundation's operations.
At 10:00 a.m. on 7 Sep, Mr. Sittha Bhiabangkert, known as Lawyer Tum, accompanied by his security team, submitted a request to the Director-General of the Department of Special Investigation to examine "Gun Jomphol" and the "Gun Jomphol Chai Su Foundation" for alleged non-transparent use of donation funds, the creation of nominee companies to receive contracts and pocket profits, overpriced purchases of body armor, and possible lobbying related to the case of Mr. Chonnapat Naksua, Songkhla MP from the Kla Party, who is under DSI investigation for money laundering linked to online gambling.
On this occasion, Lawyer Tum arrived riding an orange and black jet ski, wearing a swimsuit, life vest, black sunglasses, and a fake mustache, before changing into a red suit to give interviews to the media. Police Lieutenant Colonel Waranan Srilam, Director of the Consumer Protection Case Division and DSI spokesperson, received the complaint on behalf of the department.
Mr. Sittha stated that he had ridden a jet ski from the Strait of Hormuz. Regarding his content creation, he said that he wants the media and public to focus only 30 percent on the spectacle, with 70 percent on the substance. His content aims to show that these events can be arranged and recorded simply by placing cameras at different points, whether helping people or other activities.
Today, he submitted a letter requesting the DSI to investigate the "Gun Jomphol Chai Su Foundation" after receiving substantial information. He claimed that if true, the foundation’s activities might resemble those of a criminal organization, including paying workers in cash to avoid official channels and providing proxy accounts from family or relatives, each paid 5,000 baht to receive transfers. One account reportedly received over 10 million baht in a single night. He also questioned whether Gun Jomphol knew Chonnapat Naksua and whether Gun’s denials about unrelated parties to the online gambling case were true, considering allegations of lobbying. He confirmed having evidence of a 10 million baht transfer into the account of Gun Jomphol’s secretary wife, which was previously frozen by the bank but later unfrozen. Today, he presented "secret footage" of the foundation’s operations as evidence to the DSI.
