The Deputy National Police Inspector General held a meeting to enforce discipline among police officers in all units, instructing commanders of all 88 police stations under the Metropolitan Police Bureau to report and monitor the behavior of released prisoners to prevent crime.
Today (8 Sep 2026) at 09:30, Pol. Lt. Gen. Trairong Phiwpan, Deputy National Police Inspector General and spokesperson for the Royal Thai Police, convened a meeting to emphasize, enforce, and supervise the conduct and discipline of police officers. Present were Pol. Lt. Gen. Sithatchet Kruwattanaset, Acting Chief Inspector General, deputy commanders, deputy inspectors general responsible for inspection duties in all units, and all police station commanders under the Metropolitan Police Bureau. The meeting took place in the main conference room, 3rd floor, Club Building, Metropolitan Police Bureau.
Pol. Lt. Gen. Trairong ordered and firmly instructed all unit heads at every level to strictly enforce, supervise, and promote good conduct and discipline among police officers under their command, in accordance with the Royal Thai Police's directives. The focus is on preventing disciplinary and criminal offenses and ensuring transparency in duty. Additionally, he emphasized systematic monitoring of complaints and reporting to ensure effective, transparent, and verifiable resolution of issues related to police officers.
Beyond disciplinary measures, the Deputy National Police Inspector General also instructed commanders of all 88 police stations under the Metropolitan Police Bureau to rigorously and continuously oversee and report on the behavior of released prisoners to prevent and reduce high-risk behavior that could lead to repeat offenses. Any unit commanders found neglecting their responsibilities will face formal disciplinary review.
