The "Sell and Use" Operation 238 team from Phitak Nakhon Lamduan arrested a police sergeant for trafficking methamphetamine after locals filed complaints. Seized evidence included 17 methamphetamine pills. The suspect initially confessed that he had just bought 18 pills for 500 baht and had consumed one pill that morning.
At 11:00 a.m. on 10 Sep 2026 GMT+7, Anurat Thammaprajamjit, Governor of Sisaket Province, together with Police Major General Supachai Sakrinpanichkul, Commander of Sisaket Provincial Police, ordered Police Colonel Prut Boonpok, Superintendent of Phusing Police Station, and the “Operation 238 Phitak Nakhon Lamduan” team, along with military officers from Task Force 3, Suranaree Task Force, and local administrative authorities, to inspect a hut in a rubber plantation east of Ban Natrao, Village No. 1, Dong Rak Subdistrict, Phusing District, Sisaket Province.
This action followed complaints from local residents reporting gatherings for drug use and drug trafficking in the rubber plantation area.
Upon inspection, officers found a man named Rangsit Yodkhao, 43 years old, standing suspiciously at the hut. The officers identified themselves and requested to conduct a search and urine test. Before the search, Rangsit threw some items under the hut. Officers found 17 methamphetamine pills there. Initial urine tests also returned positive for narcotics.
Rangsit, the suspect, stated that he was a police sergeant assigned to Phraibung Police Station, working as a radio operator. He confessed that the methamphetamine pills belonged to him. He had purchased 18 pills from a man named Jack at Ban Natrao for 500 baht and had consumed one pill earlier that morning (10 Sep 2026 GMT+7).
Preliminary urine samples taken by Phusing Police investigators were sent to Phusing Hospital for further testing, confirming the presence of narcotics. Rangsit was charged with possession of Class 1 narcotics (methamphetamine) with intent to sell and illegal use of Class 1 narcotics. He was handed over to Phusing Police investigators for further legal proceedings.
