At 09:30 on 11 Sep 2026 GMT+7, reporters updated on the case of an armed suspect robbing the TMBThanachart Bank at Talad Thai branch, Khlong Nueng Subdistrict, Khlong Luang District, Pathum Thani Province. The bank confirmed the total stolen amount was 1,176,239.08 baht.
Most recently, Police Lieutenant Colonel Chalad Homngoen, Deputy Chief of Investigation at Khlong Luang Police Station, convened a meeting with the investigative team early this morning to expedite tracking down the suspect for legal prosecution.
Police Colonel Wisnaruk Phrommets, Deputy Commander of Pathum Thani Provincial Police (acting Chief of Khlong Luang Police Station), revealed that after the suspect committed the crime and set their vehicle on fire to destroy evidence, authorities are currently investigating if another vehicle was used to continue the escape. He ordered detectives to review CCTV footage along the escape routes since early morning. Regarding whether the suspect is local, this has not yet been confirmed, but they believe the suspect conducted prior surveillance before the crime.
As for the burned vehicle, police forensic experts must complete their examination to determine if it was stolen. Additionally, the license plates, which could not be traced in the system, are believed to have been counterfeit and fabricated by the suspect.
Later, reporters visited the vehicle fire scene and interviewed nearby residents. A witness said they saw a sedan speeding into the area faster than usual. About 10 minutes later, the car caught fire with explosions heard. The witness was closing their shop at the time and noticed the driver did not walk back out the way they had entered.
