Patum Thani: Hooded Gunman Robs Gold Shop in Sam Khok, Steals 52 Baht of Gold in Just 2 Minutes

A hooded gunman armed with a pistol raided a gold shop in Sam Khok district, Patum Thani province, executing the robbery in under 2 minutes. He stole gold chains totaling 52 baht in weight before fleeing the scene. A female employee reported the suspect acted calmly, walking in quietly and instructing them to be quiet.

At 17:58 on 13 Sep 2026, reporters and officers at the Sam Khok Police Radio Center received an alert from 191 Patum Thani about an incident at Bangkok Gold, Thong Yaowarat, located at 49/34-35 Moo 3, Pathum-Sam Khok Road (entrance to Soi Thetsaban 1), Sam Khok subdistrict, Sam Khok district, Patum Thani province. The information was reported to supervisors. Police Colonel Theparit Chawanawik, Chief of Sam Khok Police Station, along with investigation and patrol officers, promptly went to investigate.

Upon arrival, staff at the gold shop reported that a lone suspect dressed in black with a hooded jacket covering his face had brandished a handgun to threaten the employees, stealing 52 baht of gold chains—two 10-baht chains, four 5-baht chains, and three 4-baht chains—totaling over 3.5 million baht. The suspect fled undetected. CCTV footage captured the suspect entering at 17:56 and leaving at 17:58, taking no more than 2 minutes to commit the crime.

The shop employee, Ms. Ta (name withheld), said in shock that the suspect calmly walked in, drew a handgun, causing the employees to crouch down. The suspect then pointed the gun at the staff, ordering them to stand and forced them to pick gold from the larger chains. After taking the gold, he holstered the weapon and quietly left the shop without running. She noted the suspect spoke with a Central Thai accent.

Currently, investigation teams from Patum Thani Provincial Police and Sam Khok Police are examining routes and reviewing CCTV footage. They found the suspect walked from Krissana Village and, after committing the robbery, retraced his steps the same way. It remains unknown what type of vehicle the suspect used. Sam Khok police and investigators are urgently tracking CCTV footage and interviewing witnesses to apprehend the suspect.
