Deputy National Police Chief Urges Tourist Police to Raise Work Standards and Discipline with Know First, Prevent First Approach

The Deputy National Police Chief provided policy guidance to Tourist Police Division 2 to raise work standards, uphold discipline, and serve the public and tourists with a dedicated service mindset.


Today (15 Sep 2026) at 14:00, Pol. Lt. Gen. Trairong Phiwpan, Deputy National Police Chief and spokesperson for the Royal Thai Police, inspected and delivered policy directives to officers of Tourist Police Division 2 in Chiang Mai. Pol. Maj. Gen. Olan Iamprapas, Commander of Tourist Police Division 2, led subordinate officers in welcoming, demonstrating training exercises, and receiving the policy guidance.



Pol. Lt. Gen. Trairong issued operational policy aimed at elevating work standards, maintaining discipline, and improving service effectiveness for the public and tourists. He stressed that tourist police must commit to tactical training combined with a service-minded approach to ensure the safety of citizens and tourists and to create a positive travel experience in Thailand.



Additionally, the Deputy National Police Chief urged commanders at all levels to attentively supervise, enforce, and cultivate discipline and conduct among their subordinates to minimize risks of serious disciplinary violations. The core principle emphasized was 'Know First, Prevent First.'
