On 15 Sep 2026, Pol. Lt. Gen. Natthasak Chaowanasai, Commander of the Crime Suppression Division, ordered Pol. Maj. Gen. Kongkrit Lertsitthikul, Director of the Consumer Protection Division, Pol. Col. Kraiwith Saenthaweesuk, Superintendent of Division 1, and Pol. Lt. Krit Phiphatpoonsiri, Inspector of Division 1, to lead the arrest of Ms. Nopamas Charoenrat, 21, and Mr. Chatri Maksap, 33, for violating the order of the Committee on Product and Service Safety prohibiting the manufacture, sale, or service of baraku, electronic baraku, or e-cigarettes and related substances; concealing, assisting in selling, transporting, buying, pawning, or receiving goods known to be untaxed or prohibited or imported without customs clearance; and selling Category 2 controlled substances without a license.
Authorities seized evidence including 3 units of 'Pot-Ke Hua Suea', 5 disposable e-cigarettes, approximately 46.86 grams of ketamine, about 200 clear plastic bags, and 2 mobile phones. The arrests took place at an apartment inside Soi Ramkhamhaeng 60/2, Huamark Subdistrict, Bangkapi District, Bangkok.
The arrest followed intelligence that a Line account named "aum" was involved in illicit sales of e-cigarettes and 'Pot-Ke Hua Suea'—e-cigarettes mixed with drugs—to youths. Undercover officers arranged to buy 3 pot-ke units and 5 disposable e-cigarettes. At the meeting, Ms. Nopamas collected the payment before retrieving a black bag containing the goods from Mr. Chatri nearby. Officers then identified themselves and arrested them with the evidence.
Ms. Nopamas was taken for further investigation where a search of the apartment uncovered ketamine hidden in various places totaling 46.86 grams, along with about 200 small plastic bags for resale and 2 mobile phones, all seized as evidence.
Under questioning, Ms. Nopamas admitted purchasing e-cigarettes and pot-ke from Mr. Chatri for resale at a 200 baht profit per unit, buying pot-ke at 1,200 baht and selling at 1,400 baht. She also said she bought 50 grams of ketamine from a person known only as 'Mr. M' at 12,000 baht, planning to sell 1-gram bags at 300 baht each to friends at parties, hoping to earn a 15,000 baht profit before being caught.
Mr. Chatri confessed to buying e-cigarettes and pot-ke from 'Mr. Jo' to resell to Ms. Nopamas, earning only a few hundred baht in profit. Authorities detained both suspects along with the evidence and forwarded them to the Crime Suppression Division for legal prosecution.
