Buriram police, acting with a court warrant, raided a room inside a resort after a supplier to Buriram United Football Club reported suspicious returned goods. A British customer had ordered shirts and sports pants, then requested exchanges due to size issues and returned the items to the company.
On 16 Sep 2026 GMT+7, Pol. Maj. Gen. Warayut Janyeam, Commander of Buriram Provincial Police, along with Pol. Col. Jetsarit Paengsrisarn and Pol. Col. Siriwat Somkijsiri, Deputy Commanders, Pol. Col. Yutthapong Rodnuan, Chief of the Provincial Investigation Division, Pol. Col. Jamras Siriliang, Chief of Mueang Buriram Police Station, and officers from the Economic Crime Suppression Unit (Intellectual Property) led by Pol. Lt. Col. Phanuwat Makmun, Deputy Chief of the Investigation Division at Satuek Police Station, executed a search at a resort room in Krasang Subdistrict, Mueang Buriram District, Buriram Province, under Buriram Provincial Court search warrant No. 87/2569 dated 15 Sep 2026 GMT+7.
This search followed a complaint from Mega Castle Co., Ltd. to the Mueang Buriram Police, reporting that a British man ordered four Buriram United sports shirts and pants online.
The customer later requested to return the items, claiming the sizes did not fit and expressed a desire to order new sizes. The company accepted the returns according to procedure.
However, upon receiving the returned goods, the company suspected the items sent back were not the same as those originally dispatched. They filed a complaint requesting police to investigate and take legal action.
During the search, officers found the British man claiming residence in the room and seized four Buriram United sports shirts and pants for examination and evidence collection before handing them over to Mueang Buriram Police for further legal procedures.
At this stage, the case remains under investigation with evidence being gathered. Authorities have not concluded whether the seized goods are linked to any wrongdoing. The investigators will follow the evidence and legal process accordingly.
Pol. Maj. Gen. Warayut Janyeam advised the public and online merchants to keep thorough records of orders, payment receipts, shipping, and product details or defects before sending and after receiving returns to aid verification and prevent disputes.
The individual involved is presumed innocent until proven guilty by final judgment. The authorities' actions aim to collect evidence, verify facts, and proceed through the justice system.
