"Big Turtle" led the Anti-Corruption Police together with the National Anti-Corruption Commission to arrest the head of Nong Mee Subdistrict Administrative Organization for extorting 10,000 to 30,000 baht from employees in exchange for contract renewals.
At 10:00 a.m. on 17 Sep 2026 GMT+7, Pol. Lt. Gen. Natsak Chawana, Commander of the Central Region Police, ordered Pol. Maj. Gen. Jaroonkiat Pankaeo, Deputy Commander, Pol. Maj. Gen. Prasong Chalempun, Commander of the Anti-Corruption Police Division, Pol. Col. Natthawut Rungruang, Chief of Division 3, along with officials from the National Anti-Corruption Commission, to arrest Yotphan Srisai, 65, head of Nong Mee Subdistrict Administrative Organization, Rasi Salai District, Sisaket Province, under the arrest warrant No. J68/2569 dated 16 Sep 2026 GMT+7 from the Central Region Criminal Court for Corruption and Misconduct.
He is charged with abusing his official position improperly to coerce or induce others to give property or other benefits to himself or others; unlawfully requesting or accepting property or benefits in exchange for actions or inactions related to his duties, regardless of whether those actions are lawful or not; improperly performing or neglecting duties to cause harm or committing corrupt acts; and unlawfully requesting or accepting property or benefits for himself or others to perform or neglect any duties related to his position.
The arrest occurred in his office within Nong Mee Subdistrict Administrative Organization, Rasi Salai District, Sisaket Province.
This arrest followed complaints from contract employees under Nong Mee Subdistrict Administrative Organization who reported that Yotphan Srisai demanded money from them in exchange for renewing their employment contracts.
In early August 2026, Yotphan convened a meeting with about 25 contract employees, informing them that their contracts would expire in September 2026 and stating that those wishing to renew must pay a fee by meeting him privately in his office to discuss details.
Later, he informed victims that employees with up to three years of service had to pay 10,000 baht for contract renewal, while those with more than three years had to pay 30,000 baht. Authorities gathered evidence and obtained a court-approved arrest warrant, then planned and executed the arrest, seizing 20,000 baht in cash given as part of the renewal fee.
During interrogation, Yotphan denied all allegations. He was handed over to investigators at Division 3, Anti-Corruption Police, for legal proceedings.
