Wang Thonglang Police continue inspections focusing on banning drugs, firearms, persons under 20, and human trafficking in entertainment venues and massage parlors along Rama 9 Road, Soi Mahadthai, and Town in Town areas, while promoting compliance with laws and ensuring visitor safety.
At midnight on 19 Sep 2026 GMT+7, Police Colonel Jetsada Yangnok, Chief of Wang Thonglang Police Station, along with Deputy Chiefs Police Lieutenant Colonel Pawee Munmuang and Police Lieutenant Colonel Somchai Kongkanon, Police Lieutenant Colonel Kachakong Srisuwa, and Police Lieutenant Colonel Apichat Unpong, plus officers and the S.W.A.T. team from Metropolitan Police Division 4, jointly inspected venues and similar establishments in the area.
For the operation, forces were divided into three groups targeting three zones: Rama 9 Road, Soi Mahadthai, and Town in Town neighborhoods. They inspected a total of 16 venues as follows:

They conducted checks on:
1. Identification cards of patrons, staff, and employees
2. Possession of firearms and other weapons
3. Activities related to human trafficking
4. Activities related to prostitution
5. Random drug tests within the establishments
6. Compliance with legally mandated closing times
They also publicized that:
- Business operators must have all proper licenses
- Persons under 20 years old are prohibited from using the services
- Operators must not allow drug use or weapons inside the premises
- Operators must not allow prostitution activities
- Establishments must close strictly according to permitted hours
- Alcohol sales must comply with designated timeframes
- Indecent acts are prohibited
- Sound amplification must comply with legal regulations
Inspection results:
- Random drug tests conducted on 71 patrons
No drugs were detected.
Police Chief of Wang Thonglang Police Station stated this is an ongoing operation integrating Wang Thonglang police forces with the S.W.A.T. team from Metropolitan Police Division 4. Inspections continue throughout the week, especially on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, following orders from the Metropolitan Police Commander and Division 4 Chief to strictly enforce laws in entertainment venues and similar establishments. This supports the 'Safe Wang Thonglang' policy to regulate society and ensure safety, especially prohibiting drugs, firearms, human trafficking, and underage patrons, banning operation beyond legal hours, and preventing fights inside and outside venues, thereby building public confidence in the area.
The operation also intensifies crackdowns on crime, vice, and illegal acts, especially banning firearms from entertainment venues, establishments, and illegal nominee businesses, maintaining continuous enforcement.
