"Lawyer Tum" submitted documents to the DSI urging an investigation into the financial links of "Gun Jompang" and his close associates, while raising suspicions about an audio clip tied to a gambling website. He insisted this was not harassment but a request for investigation.
At 10:00 a.m. on 21 Sep 2026 GMT+7, at the Department of Special Investigation, Mr. Sitthira Biebphangket, known as Lawyer Tum, submitted additional evidence to officials at the DSI to press charges against Mr. Kanthas Phongpaiboonwech, or Gun Jompang, regarding an online gambling website. He also requested examination of the financial networks of Gun's family and close associates.
Mr. Sitthira stated that today he provided additional information to DSI officials. Last week, he already submitted a request to investigate Gun Jompang and his foundation. Two days ago, he discovered a gambling website, which he believes the public nationwide has heard about. However, the site has since been shut down. He recorded the audio clip himself and believes it is not AI-generated, as it was uploaded to YouTube since 2019, a time when AI could not produce such content. Meanwhile, Gun has been absent from his Facebook page for 48 hours. Mr. Sitthira wants Gun to clarify whether he was involved or not. Previously, Gun claimed to have cleared issues regarding the operators of the gambling website and said he did not know those people, but after the public listened to the audio, many should now realize the truth. Authorities will continue investigating this matter.
Additionally, there are about five more individuals Mr. Sitthira has asked officials to investigate, including Gun's family—his wife, father, mother—and two close associates whose financial activities are linked to Gun Jompang. Another person under scrutiny is Eve, Gun's former foundation chairperson, as intelligence suggests financial proceeds from illegal activities may be connected to these individuals.
Besides requesting officials to examine the financial transactions of these individuals, Mr. Sitthira also brought evidence related to additional donation requests. However, he only managed to obtain documents concerning the Cambodian border area. He urged the public that if anyone has more information, they can share it with him via a provided message link, including matters involving the State Audit Office building and other issues.
When asked if today's actions might be perceived by the other party as using agencies to harass them, Mr. Sitthira responded that if people claim he is harassing, then they must acknowledge that if Gun were truly innocent and genuine, he would have nothing to fear from these allegations. If it were untrue, Gun would have confronted him aggressively by now. Yet, Gun remains silent. Therefore, Mr. Sitthira affirmed that his intent is only to request an investigation without harassment, as any harassment would have led to legal action against him.
Additional reporting indicates that the Facebook page "Gun Jompang Chuey Soo" last posted two days ago regarding the bombing of a paramilitary vehicle in Narathiwat, expressing condolences to the victims' families.
However, last night (20 Sep 2026 GMT+7), Gun Jompang conducted a live online sales broadcast, during which many fans sent messages of support.
