The family of a rider killed by the NACC Investigation Director who was driving drunk tearfully appealed to the media. More than three months have passed without any contact for compensation as promised. The deceased's daughter said she has yet to continue her studies at this time.
Reporters stated that the Director of the Investigation and Special Affairs Bureau of the NACC office drove a pickup truck that collided with a rider's motorcycle, causing the death of Mr. Sornnarinn Nakongsi, aged 43, on 27 May.
The latest update on 21 September 2026 at Bang Srimuang Police Station in Nonthaburi province saw Mrs. Wiyada Nakongsi, 49, Miss Sirapatsorn Nakongsi, 19, and Mr. Sirawit Nakongsi, 21—older sister and children of the deceased Mr. Sornnarinn Nakongsi—who was killed when Mr. Jarong, Director of the Investigation and Special Affairs Bureau of the National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC), crashed into him on Ratchaphruek Road at the Rattanathibet Road overpass in Bang Rak Noi Subdistrict, Mueang Nonthaburi District, Nonthaburi province. The perpetrator admitted fault and recorded a statement promising to support and compensate the deceased's children to the best of his ability.
Mrs. Wiyada Nakongsi, the deceased's older sister, tearfully told the news team she feels sorry for her two nieces and nephews who have lost their father and received no justice. Today, she came to the police station to follow up on her brother's case and to appeal for fairness through the media. More than three months have passed since her brother’s death and the 100-day memorial ceremony was recently held. However, during these three months, the responsible party, despite being the director of the NACC investigation bureau, has never contacted them or provided financial support to the two children as agreed and previously stated to the media. She expressed deep sympathy for the children who live a difficult life without their father, lacking money for education or daily expenses, sometimes having to borrow from others—something their father had been able to provide while alive.
Miss Sirapatsorn, 19, the deceased's daughter, admitted that after her father's death, the responsible party contributed 50,000 baht toward the funeral but has since made no further contact or provided any compensation. Despite the incident receiving wide media attention and the responsible party having agreed in front of police officers to compensate and support her tuition and her older brother's living expenses and housing, these promises have not been fulfilled. Currently, she has not continued her university studies, and both siblings lack stable housing, still relying on their aunt's home. If their father were alive, life would not be this difficult for the two of them. She wishes to urge the responsible party to provide the compensation as previously promised and stated to the media.
Regarding the legal case, the detailed forensic medical report has been received by the police station. The investigation officer is currently preparing to file charges in court.
