Pol. Lt. Gen. Trairong Phiwpan stated that the Police Inspector General’s office inspects various police units to raise work standards across all aspects. During his inspection of Nakhon Phanom Immigration, he instructed frontline officers to diligently care for and welcome tourists, and to conduct thorough screening of individuals with firmness and hospitality to create a professional image.
Today (22 Sep 2026) at 09:30, Pol. Lt. Gen. Trairong Phiwpan, Deputy National Police Inspector General and spokesperson for the Royal Thai Police, visited Nakhon Phanom Immigration officers. He was welcomed by Pol. Maj. Gen. Piya-anant Tosakulwong, Deputy Commander of the Information Technology and Communications Office assigned to Immigration, Pol. Col. Athip Sumdon, Deputy Commander of Immigration Division 4, and Pol. Col. Chatchai Samniang, Chief of Nakhon Phanom Immigration, along with other officers at the Nakhon Phanom Immigration office.
The Chief of Nakhon Phanom Immigration personally conducted unarmed combat training based on royal-approved methods and police tactical drills. He also led his officers in receiving policy guidance and reported on efforts to strengthen and develop police discipline, prevent serious disciplinary violations among subordinates, and advance projects supporting personnel welfare, such as the white police drug-free initiative and scholarship programs for officers’ children.
The Deputy National Police Inspector General explained that the Inspector General’s office inspects various police units to elevate operational standards in all areas, including public relations. He emphasized the principles of self-discipline, personnel management, and task management, along with regular training reviews, to ensure maximum effectiveness in serving and protecting the public.
Pol. Lt. Gen. Trairong Phiwpan further stressed that immigration officers are the first line of care and welcome for tourists, representing both the Royal Thai Police and Thailand’s national image. As the frontline in screening high-risk individuals and maintaining vigilance, officers are urged to perform their duties with firmness and friendliness to instill confidence and leave a positive impression on both citizens and visitors, embodying professional policing.
