The DSI emphasized fairness for both sides.
On 25 September 2026, reporters reported progress in the case after Mr. Sittra Biebangkert, or Lawyer Tum, posted on his personal Facebook stating, “Urgent!! DSI plans to summon two popular channel hosts over foundation donation funds.” This follows Lawyer Tum's request to investigate the 'Gan Jom Phalang Chuay Sue' foundation concerning whether donated funds were used appropriately. The investigation includes identifying victims, with investigators coordinating to obtain information, which must be voluntarily provided.
Regarding summoning Mr. Kanchai Kamnerdploy, news anchor from Channel 3, and Mr. Phutthaphiwan Ongprabaramee, news anchor from Channel 8, the DSI is interviewing them as witnesses about when and how much money they donated to the foundation, and the manner of donation. Appointment dates for their testimonies are being arranged. Initially, about 10 other donors may also be asked to provide information, and the process to determine if they should be summoned is ongoing.
Nevertheless, the special case investigators remain open to receiving information from both complainants and respondents to ensure fairness. The foundation's owner, who is the subject of the complaint, has not yet been scheduled for questioning, but authorities are willing to receive information from them as well.
