A suspect broke into a house in Suphan Buri province and shot a man and a woman dead. In the bedroom, the body of a 6-year-old boy was found with a single gunshot wound to the back of his head and frothing at the mouth. Police are urgently searching for the perpetrator who committed the crime.
On 28 Sep 2023, it was reported that at 19:30 on 27 Sep, officers from Sam Chuk Police Station received a report of fatalities inside a house in Village 3, Nong Phak Nak Subdistrict, Sam Chuk District, Suphan Buri Province. They arrived at the scene with Police Colonel Kiatchai Kerdchok, Superintendent of Sam Chuk Police Station, forensic police, and members of the Sameukan Suphanburi Foundation.
The scene was a single-story concrete house where three bodies were found. Among them was a 6-year-old boy lying dead in the bedroom, frothing at the mouth, with one gunshot wound to the back of his head. The mother, identified as Ms. Thiriyada, aged 45, was found dead in the bathroom inside the house with a single gunshot to the head.
Also found was the body of a man named Mr. Athipong, aged 42, lying dead in the middle of the house with a gunshot wound to the head. Authorities are investigating the cause of death.
When questioned, Mr. Natthanon, 17, a nephew of the deceased, said he heard gunshots on 26 Sep around 19:30, about 3-4 shots. His house is located behind the scene. At the time, he saw no vehicles coming or going, and when he went outside, there were no cars present.
At first, he thought the sounds resembled a hammer hitting wood, possibly someone fixing the house door because it had been broken before. Thinking this, he did not suspect anything and went to sleep outside. He returned in the evening and learned the news. He asked the daughter of the victims if she had contacted her mother, but she said she had not called or messaged her.
Upon his return, all the house lights were on. The grass in the cattle pen was missing, so he brought grass to feed the cows. After feeding the cows and moving pig feed, he asked the daughter to check inside the house. She asked if the door was locked; he checked and found it unlocked, so she went in, saw the scene, and alerted authorities.
The other deceased man found inside the house was initially identified as a friend of the victims.
The wife of Mr. Athipong came to the scene and said she did not know the man found dead inside was her husband until someone called to inform her. She was unaware he had been at this location. She said her husband had been missing from home for about 3-4 days before his body was discovered at the scene.
Forensic police officers have inspected the scene and reviewed CCTV footage from inside the house. Investigators are actively pursuing the suspect responsible for this brutal crime to bring them to justice promptly.
