National Police Chief Assigns 6 Key Divisions: Thatchai Oversees Crime Suppression and Human Trafficking Niranon Handles Investigations and Money Laundering Center

"National Police Chief" is the translation of the Thai term. Divides work into six main divisions. "Thatchai" Oversees crime suppression and human trafficking. "Niranon" Oversees investigations and the anti-money laundering center. "Ittiphon" Handles security affairs and supervises the oil center.


On 4 October 2026 at the Royal Thai Police Headquarters, Police General Samran Nualma, National Police Chief, issued Order No. 424/2569 dated 1 October 2569, assigning duties to Deputy National Police Chiefs divided into six main divisions.

1. Police General Thanapon Srisopa, Deputy National Police Chief, is responsible for administration and supervision of departments including the Central Investigation Bureau, Crime Suppression Division, Traffic Police Division, Police Legal Affairs, Police Medical Services (except Narcotics), the Metropolitan Police Bureau, the Royal Police Cadet Academy, Provincial Police Regions 1-9 (limited to certain training units), Special Branch, Border Patrol Police (specific training units), Immigration Bureau (limited to training units), Police Welfare Office (excluding certain directors), Police Headquarters, Police Radio Service, Police Printing Office.

2. Police General Thatchai Pitanilabutr, Deputy National Police Chief, is responsible for crime prevention and suppression, supervising the Metropolitan Police Bureau (except the Crime Suppression Division, Traffic Police, Crowd Control, and training units), Provincial Police Regions 1-8 (excluding certain departments), Provincial Police Region 9 (with several exceptions including certain districts and units), Special Branch (excluding certain departments), and the Police Welfare Office (only the director).

3. Police General Niranon Lueamsri, Deputy National Police Chief, is responsible for investigations, overseeing investigative units within the Metropolitan Police Bureau, Provincial Police Regions 1-9 (investigative units only), the Central Investigation Bureau, Police Forensic Science Division, and Police Medical Services (narcotics unit only).

4. Police General Krisada Surachetphong, Deputy National Police Chief, is responsible for legal affairs and case management, overseeing the Legal Affairs Office and Provincial Police Regions 1-9 (legal departments only).

5. Police General Ittiphon Atcharayapradit, Deputy National Police Chief, is responsible for security and special operations, supervising the Metropolitan Police Bureau (traffic and crowd control units only), Provincial Police Region 9 (specific districts and units), the Police Operations Center, Special Branch (specific units), Border Patrol Police (excluding training units), Police Welfare Office (specific directors), Police Training Command, and the International Law Enforcement Academy (ILEA).

6. Police General Nopawat Aryangkul, Police Inspector General, oversees the police inspectorate duties.

Additionally, Police General Samran assigned leadership roles within special crime centers as follows:

  • Police General Niranon leads the Anti-Money Laundering Center and the Forest Crime and Natural Resources Suppression Center.
  • Police General Thatchai heads the Anti-Human Trafficking Center, the Transnational Criminal and Immigration Suppression Center, and the Crime Prevention and Suppression Management Center.
  • Police General Ittiphon leads the Illegal Debt Suppression Center, Fuel Crime Suppression Center, Drug Suppression Command Center, Online Fraud Suppression Center, and the Traffic Management Center.
  • Police General Nopawat is head of the Anti-Corruption Center.
  • Police General Thanapon leads the Police Operations Center.
  • Police General Krisada leads the Drone Control and Countermeasures Center.
