Mae Pat confronted Aunt Meow, who asked her to tell the truth. Mae Pat cried as she led officials to the room where she had been confined, affirming she would press charges against everyone involved.
On 9 Oct 2026 GMT+7, reporters reported that Mae Pat, accompanied by officers from the Crime Suppression Division, welfare and labor protection officials from Kanchanaburi Province, and Tha Muang Municipality staff, jointly raided Sothonchai Elderly Care Center in Tha Muang Subdistrict, Tha Muang District, Kanchanaburi Province, amid a tense atmosphere. Aunt Meow, the center's owner, came out to greet them.
While Mae Pat was showing the Crime Suppression officers the room where she had been confined, Aunt Meow joined to listen. Officials asked Mae Pat if she was comfortable with Aunt Meow remaining there. Mae Pat said just seeing her made her heart race, so the officials asked Aunt Meow to leave.
At that moment, Aunt Meow told Mae Pat that as a mother and after previous discussions and phone conversations involving their sons, she urged Mae Pat to tell the truth.
Mae Pat led officials through various rooms where she said she had been confined, marking them. Afterwards, she told reporters, “Today I showed officials each room where I was held. Some rooms made me cry because they were so terrible. The officials said it was extremely cruel. Standing beside Aunt Meow, I felt my heart race and my hands go cold—I was scared. Old memories came flooding back. I tried to erase those images, but having only been out two months, coming back made me break down.”
When asked if she felt more at ease now that the Crime Suppression officers were involved, Mae Pat said she did. She urged the media not to let the case fade away, fearing it might be forgotten. She thanked God for giving her courage to come forward, which helped many others, not just here.
Asked if she still intended to pursue legal action against everyone involved, Mae Pat affirmed she would proceed to the fullest extent of the law against all parties.
Mae Pat also said that when they entered inside, they found markings she had made, which officials saw. They also found another room where she had been confined that previous journalists and police had not discovered. This so-called "balloon room" is a sealed, hidden room at the back. When inspections occurred, she was hidden there, possibly to prevent her from calling for help. On the day she was confined, Mae Pat fainted from stomach pain and was placed there with a psychiatric patient. She declined to disclose details, fearing it might affect the case.
“When I first left, I felt strong and had forgotten the pain here, but coming back, the memories surfaced again,” Mae Pat said tearfully.
Then, Mr. Japan, Aunt Meow’s son, approached and respectfully greeted Mae Pat, saying, “I apologize to Mae Pat and everyone watching from home that while you were showing the rooms, we intended to give you as much space as possible. But given the truths of both you and my mother, there may be some emotional differences. I want to apologize again for past matters.” (He bowed his head.)
Mae Pat responded that she forgives personally but will let the law take its course fully. Regarding the first encounter with Aunt Meow, where she told her to speak nicely and truthfully, Mae Pat said just looking at her made her heart race and face pale until police asked if she was okay. She said she was not. Having the person who once beat her standing there made her fearful; just seeing her was frightening. So officials asked Aunt Meow and that person to leave.
Meanwhile, Mr. Japan apologized again to Mae Pat and said he was glad to have met her the previous day, hoping she would now rest.
