Police received a tip from informants about a gambling den operating secretly in an unnumbered rented room in Bang Sare Subdistrict. Coordination with investigation teams led to a raid on the site, where officers found a group of gamblers actively playing Pok Deng cards. All 14 individuals inside were detained, evidence collected, and suspects sent to Sattahip Police Station for legal prosecution.
This operation followed a directive issued on 9 October 2026 by National Police Chief Pol. Gen. Samran Nualma emphasizing the crackdown on vice venues, gambling dens, and human trafficking. He instructed local commanders to rigorously enforce these policies, warning that commanders found neglecting their duties may be urgently transferred within 24 hours.
Based on this policy, authorities investigated and tracked illegal gambling spots in Chonburi Province, noting that some dens might relocate to evade inspections. Upon receiving intelligence about a gambling den operating in Bang Sare Subdistrict, they deployed forces to arrest and dismantle the operation in line with the directive.
All those arrested will undergo investigation and legal proceedings based strictly on evidence and established legal procedures.
