The Police Chief sent a Police Day 2026 message emphasizing the police mission to protect, defend, uphold the institution, alleviate the people's suffering, prevent and suppress crime, enforce the law, and build public confidence and trust. He expressed thanks to all officers who sacrificed to assist citizens affected by flooding.
Today (15 October 2026), Police General Somran Nualma, Commissioner-General of the Royal Thai Police, sent a Police Day message to police officers and the public on the occasion of Police Day 2026.
“On the occasion of Police Day, 17 October each year, I sincerely extend my best wishes to all police officers, their families, and the public.”
“Police officers have the important duty to protect, defend, and uphold the institution of the monarchy and the democratic system of government with the King as Head of State. They maintain public order, alleviate the people's suffering, prevent and suppress all forms of crime and drug problems, and perform their duties with honesty and fairness, serving as a law enforcement agency trusted and respected by the public.”
“In the past year, Thailand faced natural disasters due to heavy rains causing floods in many provinces, affecting the lives and property of the people. The Royal Thai Police has been concerned and has provided full assistance and facilitation to ease the people's suffering. I thank all police officers and personnel from all sectors who have dedicated themselves with diligence, devotion, and sacrifice their valuable time and energy to help the people.”
“On this occasion, I pray to the Triple Gem, all sacred entities, and by the grace of His Majesty the King and Her Majesty the Queen, to bestow blessings upon police officers, their families, and all citizens for happiness, prosperity, good health, safety from all dangers, and success in all their endeavors.”
