Mae Pat appeared at the Crime Suppression Division to file charges against men who allegedly abducted her to the "Pa Maew" elderly care center. She revealed she has crucial evidence ready to share with the police and is currently hoping for the key from her son Benz to open the safe.
On 16 Oct 2026 GMT+7, Ms. Napath or Mae Pat (surname withheld), 63, the victim who was allegedly abducted by her son’s associates and taken to Sothornchai Nursing Home in Tha Muang District, Kanchanaburi Province, stated she came today to give additional testimony to officers at the Crime Suppression Division after having previously filed a report regarding the elderly care center at Sothornchai Nursing Home in Tha Muang District, Kanchanaburi.
The case involves allegations of unlawful detention and non-consensual acts after a group of men allegedly abducted her from her home to the elderly care center. Following her initial complaint, she conducted a detailed site inspection, resulting in new evidence and additional details to provide to police, including the location and involved personnel beyond "Pa Maew," the owner of Sothornchai Nursing Home.
Ms. Napath confirmed she intends to proceed with charges against her son and others involved. This additional testimony will cover several topics for discussion with authorities. Previously, she focused on identifying the incident location and recounting events, but some observed details were not disclosed initially. Moreover, after media coverage, relatives of other residents who died at the facility contacted her, providing further details to share with police.
Ms. Napath further revealed that regarding the safe key, they are currently waiting for her son (Benz) to personally deliver the key to authorities, as police have requested. She has made multiple attempts to contact Benz by phone and through relatives, but he has not answered. Consequently, the property management manager has been coordinating on their behalf.
Addressing reports that Benz has not handed over the key himself due to concerns about media pressure, Ms. Napath said the media's role is to convey information to the public. If he feels pressured, it suggests he has reasons to feel so. Even she herself is emotionally affected by the events but does not feel pressured when speaking to the media. Therefore, if the truth is spoken, there should be no reason for pressure. She reaffirmed that she is still waiting for Benz to come forward for discussion.
Regarding the timing of Benz delivering the safe key to police, Ms. Napath said it remains uncertain whether it will happen today, as the schedule has frequently changed. They must wait for official coordination with Wang Thonglang Police Station to clarify the arrangements. She remains hopeful that the assets inside the safe are still intact.
