Court Grants Bail to Somrak Kamsing with 300,000 Baht Bond He Affirms Fight Without Worry

In Khon Kaen, the court permitted bail for Somrak Kamsing after he posted a 300,000 baht cash bond. He affirmed he will continue to fight within his rights and the law, and said there is nothing to worry about.

At 1:30 p.m. on 20 Oct 2026 at Khon Kaen Provincial Court, reporters reported that after the Fourth Region Appeals Court read its verdict, it sentenced Somrak Kamsing to 1 year and 12 months in prison without suspension in the case of abducting a 17-year-old girl, and ordered him to pay 80,000 baht in damages earlier that morning.

Later, court officials took Somrak Kamsing, former Olympic gold medal boxer, to the court’s detention room before his lawyer filed a request for temporary release after the appeals verdict, posting a 300,000 baht cash bond.

Then, around 1:00 p.m., the court ordered the temporary release of Somrak with a 300,000 baht cash bond to allow him to exercise his rights by filing an appeal within 30 days.

After leaving the detention room of Khon Kaen Provincial Court, Somrak met with fans who had come to support him, accompanied by his older brother, Somros Kamsing, and his lawyer, before they went for a meal and then left.

As Somrak was getting into his car, reporters asked about his plans going forward. He said he was determined to fight based on his rights, the law, and the facts as they occurred, and would move forward regardless of obstacles so that everyone could move on with their lives. He thanked everyone for their support, stating that everything will follow the legal process and there is nothing to worry about.
