Shock as Police Arrest 14-Year-Old Carrying Nearly 200,000 Methamphetamine Pills for 40,000 Baht Pay

Border Patrol Police Region 2 intercepted a sedan on the Ban Muang–Kham Ta Kla road, then searched and arrested three male youths aged 14 to 17, seizing about 197,960 methamphetamine pills. Police stated the suspects confessed to transporting drugs from Bueng Kan to Sakon Nakhon, with a promised payment of 40,000 baht upon successful delivery. Initial charges were filed, and authorities are expanding the investigation into associated networks.

On 21 Oct 2026 GMT+7, reporters were informed by Police Major General Wutthipong Yenjit, Commander of Border Patrol Police Region 2, that officers arrested three male youths—two aged 17 and one aged 14—and seized about 197,960 methamphetamine pills from a white Toyota Vios with license plate GL 426 Chachoengsao.

Police Major General Wutthipong said the arrest team tracked the vehicle along Highway 2096, Ban Muang–Kham Ta Kla route. When the vehicle slowed and pulled to the left side, officers revealed themselves to conduct a search, discovering one sack of methamphetamine pills packed in a black bag inside the car.

During interrogation, police reported the suspects admitted they were contacted by a Thai man residing in Laos (Lao PDR) to transport drugs from Si Wilai District, Bueng Kan Province, to clients in Ban Muang District, Sakon Nakhon Province. They were to receive 40,000 baht if delivery succeeded and admitted having done similar jobs multiple times before.

Initially, authorities charged the suspects with jointly selling Category 1 narcotics and possession with intent to sell, while continuing to expand the investigation into related networks.
