An Israeli man was arrested with ice meth after using a dating app to invite women to his apartment, tricking them into eating suspicious drug-laced cake, secretly filming intimate videos for blackmail, and claiming to have influential protection while threatening to have the entire police team transferred.
At 08:30 on 24 Oct 2026, under the direction of Police General Samran Nualma, Royal Thai Police Commissioner, Police General Itthipol Achariyapradit, Deputy Commissioner, Police Lieutenant General Krisada Kanchanalongkorn, Assistant Commissioner, Police Lieutenant General Siam Boonsom, Metropolitan Police Bureau Commander, and Police Lieutenant General Nopasill Poonsawas, Immigration Bureau Commander.
Police Major General Theeradej Thammasuthi, Deputy Commander of the Metropolitan Police Bureau responsible for narcotics, led officers from the Narcotics Suppression Center, Metropolitan Police Bureau, and Investigation Division 4, Immigration Bureau, to arrest Mr. Tomer Kahiri, also known as “Tom Yum Goong,” 54, an Israeli national.
He was charged with jointly possessing a Category 1 narcotic (ice methamphetamine) without permission, overstaying in the kingdom for 2,095 days, refusing to undergo drug testing during official duties by narcotics authorities, and disobeying lawful orders without valid reason. Ms. Phatchanok, 44, was also charged.
She was charged with jointly possessing a Category 1 narcotic (ice methamphetamine) without permission and illegally using a Category 1 narcotic (methamphetamine).
Seized evidence included 15 grams of ice meth, 50 bags containing ice meth, one scale, one tray of suspected drug-laced cake, and one mobile phone. Officials stated they found evidence of drug transactions and numerous secretly recorded sexual videos. The arrest occurred at a condominium in Huai Khwang district, Bangkok, on 23 October.
The Narcotics Suppression Center received a tip from the Bangkok Narcotics Control Office via hotline 1386 about an Israeli man with an eagle tattoo on his left upper arm who used a dating app to contact women and lure them to his condominium unit.
According to the tip, the man would prepare cake for the women to eat, after which they would feel dizzy and sexually aroused, leading to sexual intercourse recorded secretly on video. The cake was suspected to contain drugs.
Police Major General Theeradej ordered an investigation, confirming the suspect was Mr. Tomer. Coordination with Immigration Investigation Division 4 revealed he had overstayed in Thailand by 2,095 days.
Investigators tracked his condominium unit in Huai Khwang. They learned Mr. Tomer did not have steady employment, mostly stayed in his unit, had daily living expenses covered, and frequently had women visiting.
During arrest and further investigation, Mr. Tomer denied ownership of the ice meth found. However, officers found evidence on his phone relating to drug purchase and resale, along with numerous secretly recorded videos of sexual encounters with women on his apartment sofa.
Officials reported Mr. Tomer claimed he had influential contacts who would secure his release within two hours. He demanded the names of arresting officers and threatened to get the entire team transferred or fired. He also threatened to kill Sergeant Jae.
While in custody, the suspect requested a lawyer; authorities arranged contact but no one arrived as claimed. He also reported injuries and requested medical attention. Officers noted difficulties in custody and investigation, increasing vigilance in his detention.
Mr. Tomer denied all charges, saying he was a former Israeli soldier and a fabric export businessman. He has two children and moved to Thailand after breaking up with his girlfriend because he liked the country and found Thai people friendly.
The two suspects and seized evidence were handed over to Huai Khwang Police Station for legal proceedings.
