Shadow Tiger, ONE Lumpinee Boxer, Assaulted and Injured on Hang Dong-Chiang Mai Road, Suspected Road Rage

"Shadow Tiger," a ONE Lumpinee boxer, was punched while inside his pickup truck on Hang Dong-Chiang Mai Road, suffering a split right eyebrow, nine stitches on his chin, and one broken tooth. The incident is believed to be related to cutting off another vehicle. Police have recently found leads.

On 27 Oct 2026, Anucha Paisanpana, age 27, known as “Shadow Tiger Addsonpatong,” a famous Thai boxer from Chiang Mai who has fought on the ONE Lumpinee stage, appeared with facial injuries including a split right eyebrow requiring five stitches, a broken chin with four stitches, and one broken front tooth plus one loosened tooth. He told reporters he was attacked by two large men who assaulted him before fleeing by car. He fears these men may harm others.

Anucha, or Shadow Tiger, recounted that on 26 Oct 2026 at about 20:10, after finishing work as a trainer at a boxing camp in Hang Dong district, he was driving his pickup truck. Upon reaching the Big C Mae Hia intersection in the city, he admitted to cutting off a white Fortuner because he was rushing to the hospital due to back pain. Near the U-turn close to Chiang Mai Near Doctor Hospital in Mae Hia subdistrict, the assailants overtook, cut him off, and blocked his way. Two men got out of their vehicle and approached his truck. He lowered the window to apologize, explaining he was rushing to the hospital, but the men ignored him and repeatedly punched his face.

After the first assailant finished punching, the second man also struck him unexpectedly. Shocked and unable to defend himself, he felt dizzy and blood covered his face. He quickly regained composure and drove away using another U-turn, fearing the two men might be armed. He confirmed he had no prior conflict or acquaintance with the attackers. He believes the cause was a traffic dispute.

After the assault, Anucha or Shadow Tiger sought treatment at Chiang Mai Near Doctor Hospital. He then submitted photographic evidence of his injuries and medical receipts to file a police report at Chiang Mai City Police Station to seek justice. He emphasized the attackers acted brazenly without fear of the law, causing him severe impact as he cannot work or participate in his remaining three scheduled fights.

Currently, Anucha appeals to motorists who traveled the Chiang Mai-Hang Dong route at the time of the incident and witnessed the event to provide any video clips or evidence to help prosecute the two attackers. He vows to pursue the case to the fullest extent.

In a phone interview, Police Colonel Pratchaya Thitsala, Chief of Chiang Mai City Police Station, stated that after the incident, investigators surveyed the scene and reviewed CCTV footage along the route. Leads have been found, and they expect to apprehend the suspects and proceed with legal action soon.
