Police Spokesperson Confirms Arrest of Godd Dam Page Admin Under Court Warrant Sharing Charges Depend on Investigators Discretion

The police spokesperson confirmed the arrest of Chaiyarat, admin of the Godd Dam page, under a court warrant for violating the Computer Crimes Act. Regarding those who shared the post, it depends on the investigator's discretion. The Cyber Crime Investigation Division 1 (CCID 1) denied any discrimination, stating that whether the offender is a politician or a private individual, if there is evidence, action will be taken without exception or leniency.

At 11:45 a.m. on 28 Oct 2026 GMT+7, at the Cyber Crime Investigation Division 1 (CCID 1), Government Complex Chaeng Watthana, Lak Si District, Bangkok, 26-year-old Chaiyarat Rekhawat, admin of the “Godd Dam” page linked to posting about a 7 million baht slip claiming someone transferred money to the Prime Minister as a bribe, arrived with a lawyer from the Human Rights Lawyers Center to meet investigators of Division 2, CCID 1, to give a statement about the case.

Reporters tried to ask about the incident, and Chaiyarat briefly replied, “I am not the page owner.” Meanwhile, the lawyer said that today they came only to present Chaiyarat to the CCID 1 investigators. Regarding details and whether he is involved in any crime, they could not answer yet and needed to discuss with the police first.

At the same time, police from CCID 1 arrested Chaiyarat Rekhawat under Criminal Court warrant No. 6352/2026, dated 28 October 2026, on charges of "fraudulently or deceitfully inputting distorted or forged computer data, wholly or partially, or false computer data into a computer system in a way likely to cause damage to others or the public, or national security, or cause public panic; forgery of official documents; and using forged official documents in a manner likely to cause damage to others or the public."

Subsequently, police took Chaiyarat for questioning, with Police Colonel Ratchatchoke Liwanitkun, Deputy Commander of CCID 1, participating in the detailed interrogation. It is expected that the questioning will last several hours.

Police Major General Siriwat Deepor, spokesperson for the Royal Thai Police, said that Chaiyarat’s arrest was based on evidence reviewed by the court issuing the warrant. Initially, Chaiyarat denies being the page admin, which is his right, but police have clear evidence about his behavior, especially the 7 million baht slip image. It was found that Chaiyarat is the sole admin of the page.

“After examining the evidence, it is confirmed that Chaiyarat committed offenses under the Computer Crimes Act for fraud or deception by inputting distorted or forged computer data, wholly or partially, or false computer data in a way likely to cause damage to others, the public, or national security, or cause public alarm; and forgery of official documents and use of forged official documents in a manner likely to harm others or the public. The original poster clearly committed these offenses,” the Royal Thai Police spokesperson said.

Police Major General Siriwat added that regarding those who shared the post, police are considering whether they committed offenses, especially if the intent was to provoke or incite misunderstanding in society. This depends on the investigator's discretion whether to summon individuals for further information. However, he reaffirmed that this prosecution is not selective; whether the person is a politician or private individual, if there is evidence, action will be taken without exception.
