Criminal Court Denies Bail for Chairat, Godd Dam Page Admin, Detained at Bangkok Remand Prison

The Criminal Court denies bail request "Chairat" admin of the Godd Dam page has been taken into Bangkok Remand Prison

At 10:00 a.m. on 30 October 2026, Pol. Lt. Col. Thon Sukruangwong, an investigator from the Technology Crime Suppression Division 4, escorted Chairat Rekhawattana, 26, the suspect named in Criminal Court arrest warrant no. 6352/2026 dated 28 October 2026. He is accused of "fraudulently or deceitfully importing distorted or false computer data, either in whole or in part, or false computer data; forging documents of title and using forged documents of title in a way likely to cause harm to others or the public." He was brought before the Criminal Court for an initial detention hearing.

On 28 October 2026, Pol. Col. Natthapon Rattanamongkolsak, Chief of Division 3, Technology Crime Suppression Division 4, and associates arrested Chairat under the Criminal Court warrant. The suspect denied the charges. According to the petition, on 26 October 2026, the Facebook page "Godd Dam" posted content implicating Deputy Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul regarding bribes. Police presented a photo of a money transfer slip posted by the "Godd Dam" Facebook user, claiming that Anutin's bank account received 7 million baht. Relevant authorities verified the slip was fake since the amount exceeded the bank's daily transfer limit of 5 million baht. Additionally, the bank account number shown was not Anutin's, and no such transactions were found.

The bank's legal department filed a police report at Bang Sue Police Station about the incident and posted a public notice on the bank's Facebook page clarifying that the slip photo was fabricated.

The Facebook page "Godd Dam"'s actions are viewed as a threat to national security, causing public alarm, social confusion, and political agitation that could lead to ideological conflicts. This occurred near the time of a government no-confidence debate, damaging reputations and inciting hatred. The suspect was arrested at the B Government Complex in Chaeng Watthana, with incidents occurring in Anusawari Subdistrict, Bang Khen District, and Thung Song Hong Subdistrict, Lak Si District, Bangkok, consecutively.

Investigators from the Technology Crime Suppression Division were approaching the 48-hour limit for questioning but had not completed it, pending four more witness testimonies, forensic results, and criminal records checks. They requested a 12-day detention from 30 October to 10 November 2026, opposing bail due to the case's serious nature undermining social peace and national security, the suspect's attempts to destroy evidence, obstruct justice, and lack of cooperation during questioning.

Chairat opposed the detention, but after the court's hearing, the detention was authorized.

Subsequently, Chairat filed a bail request, but the Criminal Court denied it and issued a detention order for corrections officers to take Chairat into custody at Bangkok Remand Prison.
