Narcotics Suppression Police Crack Down on Two Drug Networks, Seize 5 Million Meth Pills and 50 Kilograms of Ice

Pol. Lt. Gen. Phumin Phumphuangmuang, Commander of the Narcotics Suppression Bureau, ordered narcotics police to raid two drug networks, seizing 5 million methamphetamine pills in one case and 50 kilograms of ice (crystal meth) in another, destined for a third country shipment.

On 2 Nov 2026 GMT+7, Pol. Lt. Gen. Phumin Phumphuangmuang announced directing Pol. Maj. Gen. Theera Thongrayab, Commander of Narcotics Suppression Division 4, and Pol. Col. Phichayut Kiatkittikhun, Chief of Division 1, Narcotics Suppression Division 4, to lead forces to arrest Watcharapol Tang-oo-dee, 33, on charges of possession of category 1 narcotics (ice) for sale without permission, an act that spreads drugs among the public and threatens state security and public safety. Confiscated were 50 kilograms of ice, a black Mazda 3 sedan, license plate ฌต 7448 Bangkok.

Also seized were two mobile phones and a brown Mitsubishi Pajero Sport SUV, license plate สจ 4028 Bangkok, valued at approximately 1.3 million baht. The arrest occurred in front of a house in Village 3, Huai Khwang Subdistrict, Kamphaeng Saen District, Nakhon Pathom Province.

This arrest followed an investigation by the Narcotics Suppression Bureau tracing back to a case where Hua Hin Police apprehended a Malaysian suspect with 166 kilograms of ice. Investigation revealed the Malaysian group rented a house in Don Mueang, Bangkok, to hide drugs awaiting shipment to Malaysia. Surveillance showed suspects retrieving drugs from Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province, storing them at a house in Kamphaeng Saen, Nakhon Pathom, believed to be a drug stash. Officers confronted Watcharapol as he arrived by car; he attempted to flee, crashing into police vehicles blocking the road, before being apprehended.

Upon searching the house, officers found approximately 50 kilograms of ice hidden inside, which was seized as evidence.

Preliminary interrogation revealed Watcharapol confessed to being paid 50,000 baht per drug transport trip, having done so five times. He was taken with the evidence to the Narcotics Suppression Bureau for prosecution, with investigations continuing to identify those directing the operations.

In another case, Pol. Maj. Gen. Sek Sit Supa-uan, Commander of Narcotics Suppression Division 2, and Pol. Col. Jeeraphat Pruttikul, Chief of Division 3, Narcotics Suppression Division 2, arrested Wanchai Walla, 48, accused of acting as a driver for a drug network distributing category 1 narcotics (methamphetamine), possessing drugs for sale without permission, causing public harm and threatening state security and public safety. Confiscated were about 5 million meth pills, seized in front of a rental house in Village 7, Chiang Khrua Subdistrict, Mueang District, Sakon Nakhon Province.

This arrest stemmed from investigations following a 10 July 2026 GMT+7 arrest by Division 3, Narcotics Suppression Division 2, of a suspect with 5 million meth pills at Ban Don Chiang Ban, Chiang Khrua Subdistrict, Mueang Sakon Nakhon District. Continued investigations uncovered plans by the network to transport drugs again, temporarily storing them at the rental house.

Subsequently, Division 3 police monitored the network continuously before ambushing the area and spotting Wanchai parking a four-door pickup truck in front of the house. Officers arrested him and found 12 suspicious sacks containing about 5 million meth pills concealed in the vehicle's passenger compartment. Wanchai was taken with the evidence to Narcotics Suppression Division 2 for prosecution, with further investigations to identify accomplices.
