On 3 Nov 2026 GMT+7, reports stated that at the Nonthaburi Provincial Court, the Supreme Court read its order regarding the request for temporary release of Defendant No. 1 in criminal case number A.520/2566, between the Nonthaburi Provincial Prosecutor as plaintiff and Mr. Samrit Rimthuen, also known as "Suea Dusit," Defendant No. 1, along with two others. The Supreme Court considered that the lower court sentenced Defendant No. 2 to a relatively light prison term, and since Defendant No. 2 had previously been granted bail and showed no flight risk, the Supreme Court approved temporary release during the appeal. The bail was set at 300,000 baht with the requirement to wear an electronic monitoring (EM) device, which can be used to track or restrict the defendant's movement to prevent flight or potential harm. The lower court was instructed to review the bail conditions and proceed accordingly.
