Cyber Police Arrest Sexy Influencer for Posting Provocative Photos to Lure into VIP 18+ Secret Group with Gambling Website Links

Cyber police arrested a sexy-style female influencer who was paid to post provocative photos to lure people into a VIP 18+ secret group, attaching links promoting gambling websites. She admitted to doing this for more than two years.

On 7 Nov 2026 GMT+7, Pol. Lt. Gen. Thinkorn Rangmat, Commander of the Cyber Crime Investigation Bureau, along with Pol. Maj. Gen. Arut Saengchan, Deputy Commander, ordered Pol. Maj. Gen. Songklod Krikkritaya, Commander of Cyber Crime Division 3, Pol. Col. Adichat Amornpradit, Head of Intelligence and Special Tools Division, and Pol. Lt. Col. Weerint Panngao, Investigator of the same division,

to lead a force with a Khon Kaen Provincial Court search warrant to a dormitory room on Thantawan Road, Nai Mueang Subdistrict, Mueang District, Khon Kaen Province. They arrested Ms. Tharnthip, 23, from Ubon Ratchathani, a sexy-style influencer and owner of the room, and seized one mobile phone.

Pol. Lt. Gen. Thinkorn Rangmat said this arrest followed an investigation by the Intelligence and Special Tools Division of Cyber Crime Division 3, which found two Instagram accounts, one with over 230,000 followers, posting provocative sexy photos in stories along with messages inviting followers to click links leading to online gambling websites. These Instagram accounts were linked to Facebook and TikTok accounts with a combined following of 640,000.

They also found posts on these social media accounts advertising live streams featuring 18+ content, inviting interested viewers to add a contact on the LINE app. The investigators added the LINE contact undercover and found automatic messages, including pornographic images of the account owner and sample explicit photos, along with ads offering uncensored clips for a 100 baht membership fee to join a VIP secret group. However, after joining, members were only tricked into registering on online gambling websites, with no actual 18+ live streams as advertised.

Investigators traced the accounts to Ms. Tharnthip, who resides in Khon Kaen Province. They gathered evidence, obtained a search warrant from the court, and proceeded to arrest her.

During initial questioning, Ms. Tharnthip admitted ownership of the social media accounts. After graduating and lacking income, she began promoting online gambling websites, reviewing products, and live streaming as her main income sources. She confessed to promoting gambling sites for over two years, earning 200 to 500 baht per story post per account. She had promoted over 10 gambling websites, averaging more than 20,000 baht per month.

She is being prosecuted for "assisting in advertising or directly or indirectly inviting others to gamble without authorization from officials."
